Check out lavricables.com, that's where I ordered the wire I'll be using to do my internal wiring, as well as to make aftermarket headphone cables.  2m of the solid silver braided wiring is what I went with, I figured that would give me enough to make the cables as well as do the internal wiring :-)

Eh, decided to go with Oyaide connectors instead.  Just got my parts ordered for the wiring mod and to build a set of more manageable cables.  I'll submit pictures once completed :-)

Whitigir, I used your link to find that seller on ebay, so now I have a good source for the cabling (thank you!). Would you use this same wire to do the internal wiring mod? Or do you suggest something different? Can you give me some suggestions for which connectors to use and where to find...

Another option, if you're looking for something along the lines of in-ear as opposed to on/over the ear would be the Shure 210 headphones, which I think are available right around that $120-130 price mark.
