Nice that u got a big budget. Id say the Sennheiser HD 25-II. HOWEVER the looks is not stylish in my opinion, looks more rugged and utilitarian. Just me though.   Because of ur needs, u maybe want the Phiaton series like the MS 400 or PS ones.   In my opinion, just get the JVC HA-S650...

The comfort issue with the RP-21 can be easily resolved such as with the M50 so no need to have that hold the OP back.   Just need to stretch it overnight or 2 over the box it was packaged, or maybe a stack of books, or around the computer case. Then if needed, add Beyerdynamic Pleather Pads...

Try the RP-21s and never look back :). Awesome for music and games!

Do you mean you hear the vocals mostly on the left side?   By all means that's normal, same thing happening to me. It's just a recording thing as the mixers find that separation easier. Bass should be dead center.

Ah alright, I gotcha. Thx for the info. So yep, definitely try to burn it in at least for 50 hours. Maybe the bass will arise.   It's true though, Ipod EQ settings like bass boost are truely horrible. On any headphone I had, it distorted like crazy. An amp should give a different effect...

Hey guys. As of now, I am stuck between some Sennheiser 428s and the JVC HA-S700.   I have read both sound great, and probably HA-S700 isolate better, but main point is... I need the best one to use during German winters. My ears are very sensitive to the cold, so I thought maybe a headphone...

Mike5 I am here to rescue you. A very cost effective headphone under 75 bucks that fulfills in isolation, sound quality, easily Ipod Touch driven, styling, comfort, and somewhat durability is the JVC HA-S650. Give it a go, I don't wanna be the only one enjoying them .

Get a small syringe and fill it with warm water, and slightly increasing the temp every 3 blasts into your ear. That should eliminate all earwax as it shoots back out *vomit in mouth*.

I recommend the JVC HA-S650. Good isolation but enough to hear a phone, folds flat, small, leakage is almost nil, satisfying sound quality, good price, and easily driven unamped.   U could also try the JVC HA-S700, but I think the isolation is even better on those, so maybe you won't be able...
