Shanling M6 PRO - New version coming Summer 2021
I just received my Shanling M6 Pro. I have a list of 5000 plus Wav files songs and when I try to scroll up or down it takes me 3 to five swipes. I have a Shanling Q1 and with the same SD card/library of songs I have no issues scrolling up or down. Is this normal?- beepover

Darkvoice 336 + 336i Tuberolling [ tubes ]

your right, It does need an amp. But compared to HD650..you can go without it and it sounds reasonable. The HD650 sounds like mud without an amp. But overall it does need an amp.- beepover

I have had two HD555 and I have an HD595. The HD555 even with the mods do not sound half as good as the HD595. You are out of Warranty. You should have caught defect within the 2 years. Adding to this. I was on ultrasone website and it does say tuned for movies and games. This is a Fantastic pair for games and movies. But it is lacking for music. If you need a great pair to watch tv this is it.- beepover

Is the Asus Xonar Essence STX and Sennheiser HD650 a good combo?
I have an HD650 and STX and they both work well. I do not have other amps to compare it to but I use the headphone amp on stx and it does give the HD650 the proper power with clean sound. I've had the HD555 you will get sennheisers comfort and fit but the sound is not very good at all compared...- beepover

Wish I had something to compare to. Had an audigy 2 for years and thought extension was better in treble. But Audigy 2 does not have a headphone amp and cannot push the HD650 properly. Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I upgraded to the HD650 cables for the HD600 and I did hear a noticeable difference. I never thought cables would make that much of a difference but I am a believer. Get the HD650 cables or better. Drop me a line if they sound better with custom cables.- beepover
