I've just been doing straight into my soundcard, since they are already pre-powered.    What can/should I do to make them sound even better than they do now?

Hello all.   I currently own the sr80i +M50S. What is a good logical next step in headphone purchasing? I was thinking a Sennheiser model. I have about 250-300 for the purchase. Thanks. 

Newest generation listener here :D   My dad introduced me to Rush, Genesis, Yes, pretty much all of the staples of prog. rock, and i've been hooked. I went and saw Rush at their Boston show, and it was incredible. Seeing the people who have influenced me the most as musicians was insane. 

Now i'm starting to worry about wanting the TMA-1. I wouldn't say that my music tastes are mostly electronica, i'd say about %25 is. I might just go with the old standby, 25's.   Still, I want the TMA-1's just to... try them out   I can always sell them later :P

I'm just too worried that these (TMA-1) won't perform well with things like horns.   Can anyone confirm that they are decent at things other than deep bass tracks? If so, these WILL be my Christmas gift to myself

Basically coming down to these two.   Do I need an amp for both of these to shine? I don't have one currently.   If there is a better option in the $100-$250 range, I would love to know.   I listen to ska, dnb, dubstep, post rock and ambient mostly.
