Excellent condition overall. Very clean unit with just a couple minor finish mars / flaws on the cups that do not detract from the aesthetic (see above the "N" in 4th pic). Pads are Todd The Vinyl Junkie flat pads, which sound much better than stock Grado pads IMO. Sound quality is superb, with perfect Left / Right channel balance. These have been re-terminated to a 4.4mm TRRRS balanced plug -- perfect for high end portable / DAP use! The Shipibo premium aluminum gimbals and rod blocks are a huge upgrade over the stock Grado plastic & hot glue parts, in both aesthetics and durability.

The PS500e and PS1000 are currently my favorite Grados. I vastly preferred these PS500e over the GS3000e. I even like the PS500e in some ways over the PS2000e, though that model was excellent in its own right. They're also better than all the RS-1 I've owned in the past, IMO.

What the H-E-double hockey sticks is anyone waiting for? This is a great deal - amazing cans (my personal favorite) and not currently made. For the price, it's worth buying and re-cabling them if 4.4mm doesn't work for you.

Hi folks - apparently I don't get notifications on comments here. Yes, these are still available. Please PM me with interest or other inquiries. Yes, they're a killer deal at the lowered price! These gimbal, rod block, and flat pad upgrades are substantial, and add ~ $150 to the cost. Not to mention balanced drive via 4.4mm. These headphones now sound substantially better and have much better build quality than stock.

Also check out my listing for a gorgeous PS1000. I've been holding onto the PS500e and PS1000 because they were my favorite Grados, over even PS2000e and GS3000e!
