Genuine leather earpads. Replaced the cheap headband pad with higher quality faux-leauther. The sliding mechanisms to adjust earcup height feels a bit cheap, Idk how it feels on genuine DT770's, but once you adjust it to your ears it's set and forget, you can rock out in these headphones, tilt head back to drink water, etc. the clamp force is good, but not excessive, and you forget that these are cheap headphone frames, they feel solid in your hands and pads feel great on the face.

Sound: FUN! Okay, they lack the deepest sub-bass which can be heard on a heavily EQ'ed Sennheiser HD800. It's there, but not as impressive. But the timbre is spot on, imho. Male vocals have warmth and are high resolution. Percussion has snap to it when it calls for it. Bass monster's compared to the ortho franken phone's I used to make. Music sounds "right" on these. (requires good amp? they don't sound as warm with male vocals on my Astell & Kern AK100 which is basically maxxed out with these).

I have not damped them! If you want to damp them you will have to do this yourself, I lost all my materials for this purpose and just decided to leave them stock, they sound fantastic. I did use blue tac to seal the backwave, however, and the blue tac was sticking to the earpads so I covered the blue tac with a paper gasket (does not affect sound). In order to damp these you would have to remove the earpads and paper gaskets, then all the blue tac, and then just pop out the NAD drivers ez-pz.

$325 shipped CONUS is what I'm asking. Shoot me your offers.

Are you trying to figure out if it's Mylar or Kapton, or just proof that there's RP-18 drivers in the shell? I can get a picture of one of the drivers just sitting in the enclosure?

Yeah that shows literally none of the identifiers for a NAD driver. Gonna need to move the front damping out of the way or photograph the rear and/or driver housing.

Also, where's the metal mesh that goes over the front of the driver? What about the stock brown felt lens?

I closed the listing, I think I'm keeping them.
