That is definitely the quote of the day!!! I will now refer to stock headphones as "stock tortue devices".

BTW, I heard a friend's Koss UR-20's and didn't like the sound of them. They were REALLY tinny in comparison to my KSC-50's.

I had warned you before, didn't I?

For me, it's the Sennheiser HD 470 - blech... Screechy, uncomfy thing - and definitely my last blind try with Sennheisers. The Yamaha Porsche design headphone, I had bought quite a few years ago, was also quite a letdown - but at least it looks cool!

Greetings from Munich!

P.S.: Oh, and I forgot the Nosebuds (aka Sony MDR-EX70LP) - no bass with these for me, probably just not madefor my ears...

I don't know which one wins the prize. Stock earbuds obviously, but I get rid of those very quickly. My Koss KSC-50 and Sennheiser PMX60 are competing for the title of crappiest in the collection. The PMX60 has defined harsh highs and weak bass, the only thing that saves it are the decent midrange. The KSC-50 aren't bad but sound like they are being held away from my head, and are useless portably since they let in too much noise and leak out too much sound.

The MDR-005E I got with my D-33 Discman. You could also say that my Radioshack 330-1991 earbuds are also crap, but they are way better than the Sony's.

I bought a pair of Grundig 'streetstyle' earbuds last week, because they looked sorta ok in the box, and having only taken my EX70s with me on my trip, wanted a more high fidelity sound...

after 35 seconds I realised that the EX70s kick total ass, when driven properly (with underpowered / EQ'd equipment) and that those Grundig 'phones just suck ass

In honor of this thread, I busted out my old Sony headphones that came with my portable cd player. I cannot believe I thought those things sounded decent a mere 3 months ago. God I love my HD600's.
