With respect to functionality, you'll see.

With respect to name, it's actually "Eitr."

With respect to SPDIF reclockers, considering that Mike kicked off that category of products in the early 1990s with the Theta TLC, I think he might know a thing or two about it. That is, if he ever chose to do that again.

The EATR may be a step-up from the WYRD, or may even cannibalise it...a combined USB/SPDIF schiit eatr (or isolation device) would be different... I don't recall seeing many combined solutions...it's been either one or the other.

I'm not sure if you can combine the two in one device.

It's too bad there isn't an "Eatar" in Norse mythology it would rhyme with Vidar.

Now that would be something entirely new.
A decrapefier for the ethernet port.

Love it...EATER spelt as EITR...only Schiit would come up with that !! I had a TLC (years ago) coupled to a Meridian 203...a rather overhyped DAC I thought....but budget constraints at the time...some things never change.

As much as I would like an Ethernet isolator I'm not convinced that's what it is. It would be a relatively smaller market. The vast majority of people use PC's et al don't they ? Just a personal view and don't know the numbers.

It could make sense, but only if incorporated into a product of broader application.

Not the only thing from Meridian that is over-hyped.

I think the Eitr (which I assume is the official name of Project Manhattan), is going to be some kind of tunable DSP box combined with a usb/spdif reclocker.

OK, OK...  It is a vinyl playing, CD and laser disc playing portable at just under 40 pounds which has DSP to make it feel lighter.
