I expect so but have not tried. I know there has been issues with the scan process when non music files are present

I'm a happy user of the dx50, paired with some iems,se425, se535 and my best mdr-ex600
Anybody could suggest me an amp for them?
It could be great if I could buy from mp4nation cause I could use a lot of points I have there.
My main goal is to have my music played with authority, clarity, definition and with good bass extension under the 40hz.
Thanks for all here!!!!

I have both the Leckerton mkii with Opamps OPA627 and the ibasso PB2 with various OPamps but Muses01 are my favourite - and both headphone amps sound very good with the Dx50.

Today I listened to music on a 256GB USB stick via USB OTG and my DX50.  It worked great but ate the battery charge very quickly.

Since the DX50 charges through its USB port, I couldn't keep it plugged into its charger and mount the USB drive at the same time.  Is it possible to use a splitter cable to charge and use USB OTG at the same time?

[edit]Like this cable here? Drive into the female end, male end into a wall charger, micro end into the DX50?

Yes, that will work.

I have music in directory ,like flac or lounge .
Is it possible to drag them into a playlist, because with album selecting it's take too long.....
And I only like to listen to classical only sometimes and with selecting genre, not all the album's in the directory is shown.

Anyone else having an issue where it freezes everytime on start up then tries to turn back on when you turn it off?
Let it sit and it eventually turned on.

Reinstall firmware, and try fresh files?  Sounds like it's got something in it that doesn't agree with it, either in the onboard memory or on your micro disk.

Yeah, they don't make a great match together, you're better off using anything but the RE-400 (if you have anything else), or buying the BH2. I've used most of my headphones with the DX50 and some work great, and some don't. So far i'm enjoying my DX50 with my HD25's with Amperior Cups and my AT IM70's.

@johanchandy, I believed it was reported that the Hifiman RE-400 didn't have good synergy with the DX50. I remember reading other peoples.

Ouch. Oh well I'm warming up to the dx50 sound with the dj100's as a portable option. On a side note I really really like how the dx50 sounds with my modded q701's, really impressive.

It's working now, no idea how to reinstall it.  It'd click and just autoreboot

How to reinstall the firmware?  Do you mean you can't because the device is in a reboot loop?  I'd pop out the micro disk, and then try to empty the internal.  Plug it into a usb and when it actually is on, empty it.

Are you RockBoxed?  Or stock?

If it's working now, I'd do the above.  You can get the firmware here:  http://www.ibasso.com/en/download/

Has anyone had a chance to compare the sound of the DX50 with iPod Classic (160GB) + Sony PHA-1?

Its been a while since ive heard the sony pha1. The sound of the pha1 to me is a bit overly smoothed out. Its very relaxing to listen to but its not very dynamic and not very exciting. The DX50 is a bit better in regards to that, its a bit more energetic, but i think in terms of detail and soundstage i would give it to the pha1? Dont quote me on that tho. Its been a while

Is anyone else still having problems with gapless playback (on 1.2.8)?

Yes, I have tried installing it several times, and have done a full reset afterwards. Even so, on certain tracks, it "swallows" the first few seconds. Very annoying with classical and opera - I don't want to have to convert Wagner operas to a single track!

Will probably try this if it happens again, thanks again, olddude.
