Has there been any news about when the next firmware is being released?
 
I know good things come to those who wait...

But I've been anticipating the USB DAC feature since I bought it last year.
Getting even more excited now that the DX90 has been released, which was supposed to coincide with the firmware...

Be assured IBasso is working overtime on the DX90.......They believe a stable 1.28 exists on the DX50.  Therefore, I don't believe they will be releasing a  firmware upgrade in the near future. Remember they are a small Company doing business direct in most cases and manufacturing in batches. Yes, I know quality is outstanding.

I'm facing this problem too. The play button becomes unresponsive after some time of usage. Hopefully it's a firmware issue. Will have to wait till the next firmware release and see how it goes.

Yeah I saw others reporting this problem before, so I am really hopping is some firmware issue.

Is there a way I could make my items go balanced? All are cable exchangeable? Maybe is a post here about that but I have not find it

You'll need to change the connectors by recabling or get someone to do it

I'm hoping that for all but the most demanding phones DX90 will be so good on it's own that I wont need my SR71-B. Might still use it for the benefits balanced drive gives though

It'll do it via a usb OTG cable and you need external power for the disc as the DX50 cant power it

Thankyou, this is a 2.5" hdd so Im wondering if the USB lead is plugged into the DX50 from the HDD then I cannot use an external power supply, I seen someone with a splitter here on the forum is this what they were doing ? Connecting a Power supply to the other USB lead in the split.

the other idea I have is using a WIFI enclosure for the HDD like this enclosure then accessing the songs via WIFI is this possible on the DX50 ?

Ahh well thats cool, I might buy one and try it.
the only other issue is I have other files on the same hard drive like html and text, im guessing the player will just skip files it cant play ?
