  Great feedback for Fiio!  Would putting an anti-glare (matte) screen protector help?  If so, maybe Fiio would consider including both glossy and matte screen protectors with the X5 in the future.

Thanks. I am not singling out the X5 for sunlight abuse. My Blackberries and iPhone 3GS were all nightmares in the sun. It is really only the new generation of expensive reflective AMOLED screens that deal with sun well and Fiio is not going to use those at the X5 price point. A matte screen protector might help a bit but the theme of the X5 is also very dark with grays and muted colors against black. It looks great and I wouldn't change that to get a bit of sunlight advantage. Just step into the shade.

Output impedance is under 0.26 ohm (headphone out).  Output power is 480mW into 16 ohm, 255mW into 32 ohm, 28mW into 300 ohm

Sadly but truly, that is just how most forums and product-discussion threads anywhere in the world work. 
 
I personally don't hype anything until I get it, use it, and listen to it. I do however, have light expectations that I carry and set as a guideline for each product I receive.

One more thing to add: I know there are people who complain about the small screen and the big bezel on both sides. But despite its size, it is definitely one of the nicest looking small screen on all the DAP I have had outside of iDevices. I mean, X5's screen doesn't even need to feel ashamed sitting next to Nano 7G.
