I would be surprised if the X1 didn't.
 
AAC is a pretty common format and is the style a lot of people have music in due to iTunes. 
 
if ALAC (.m4a package) was supported. The chances of AAC not being would be slim.

If anyone who gets any of the tour units could compare it to the X3, that would be really awesome, and thank you to anyone who does. I love that it has a scroll wheel (and a lower price), but if the SQ is very noticeably different I'll go with the X3.
