They are MMCX connector cables with the sheath designed to specifically fit the new Westone Wxx series IEMs, whereas the RC-SE1 would swivel loosely on these new Westones. OTOH the SE1 may fit some MMCX connector IEMs / CIEMs that the new cable won't fit, because of the extra sheathing.

That is a great news!!!  I reviewed RC-SE1 with W40, as well as UE900, in the past.  Personally I was careful when using it, but it was a tight fit.  As a matter of fact, it's the only cable I use now on W40, but would be curious to test this new one as well (just pinged Sunny ).

Is there a product code and release date for the new cables? Interested to get a pair to replace my ailing ones.

What sort of connection is that on that cable, and would there be a way to connect it to my GR10 IEMs?

MMCX...... certainly not, as your GR10s have permanent/non-removable stock cable and those are after-market FiiO MMCX cables......

hmm....Now I read you. but you need to alter/mod the gr10's shells to have your desired female connectors flush/recessed mounted....let it be ue/westones 2 pin or mmcx...thats the pita process.

I'll definitely wait till my warranty's run out...

Now let's get back on topic ;P

  James,

I'm super excited about getting my hands on a X1. I'm wanting to buy an sd card in anticipation and I want know know if it will support UHS-1, can you please inform me?

Thanks.

yes, but it is not necessary to use UHS-1 micro SD card in X1, an class 6  Mirco SD is enough.
