They are both very enjoyable but vinyl is better (unfair comparison though as I have a totl turntable and tube amplifier). The main difference is that vinyl is richer sounding than digital by design (although I haven't tried DrWalkman firmwares for the 1A yet). Also with vinyl you get access to original pressings who generally can be better than digital transfers although not always. Having said that the Sony player is very musical and its portability gives it such a huge advantage: it's just brilliant to be able to take all your music with you.how close is Sony's vinyl processor to the original vinyl players ?

Current favorite: LCD-X / DHC Complement C balanced / WM-1Z J3-Plus v2.
Alternative: Solaris SE - ADV Custom tips / DHC Clone Silver balanced / WM-1Z J3-Plus v2
I don't have any issues with ear wax and I'm much older.

I clean my ears, Nutter regularly, and I am fine just an IE M. Also excessive wax production could be a sign of infection?

I just saw the priceHas anyone tried the Viking Ragnar with WM1Z? Fabulous pairing!
Meanwhile, on the other end of the pricing scale: I recently got the BLON-03 to use with my Shanling M0 Pro at work, but found them to pair superbly with my 1Z.
