You dont need any more bass after you eliminate the foam filters. Believe me. These things are a lot of fun!!.

Have been considering removing the foam filters... Does it remove a bit of the haze in the sound?

can anyone that have both tell me what's the difference between EX 1000 cable to 800ST one?

I believe the EX1000 has metal screw fittings, while the ex800st is plastic. Here’s a link that shows an EX1000 adapter that was sourced by pulling it from the OEM cable

That said, I recently purchased a custom replacement cable for my ex800 from Null Audio with the EX1000 connector option and it fits without issue. The connector they use is all plastic, so I imagine the connector material doesn’t affect the fit either way.

As an aside, I highly recommend their cable. I was able to get the complete cable with an in-line microphone for about $150 USD shipped. I know the price is fairly steep, but I don’t intend to ever sell these, and use them as my daily driver iem—especially now that I can take calls without having to swap to something else, they rarely leave my ears.

Hope that info helps!

What is the purpose of the 500mw max input ??? What does it mean ?
It means you can't use headamp more than 500mW to drive this IEM , this is its driver's limitation .

Maximum power is peak instantaneous power supply and not continuous power thus it not for audible purpose but rather a warning value to users from damaging the driver. It is akin short circuit current rating. Based on EX800ST high sensitivity and low impedance, by calculation, 1.6mW is enough to produce 110dB, easy to drive IEM.
