Didn't Mike M. post recently about tubes that were better designed for radio transmission than music? If I am not imagining that, could someone please point me to the post--I can't seem to find it anywhere!

Maybe this?

No one would eat the chicken at fast food restaurants if it wasn't pumped full of salt, seasonings, stabilizers and preservative. All the chickens in the supermarket are treated the same way, even most "natural" brands (another meaningless marketing word). Plain chicken is dry, chewy and almost completely flavorless.

Not! Try chicken from a kosher or halal butcher. Juicy, tasty, almost a completely different animal. We used to grow our own and they weren't dry and tasteless either. No argument that commercial chickenx aren't' as good.

Exactly right. The notion that chicken is dry and tasteless without additives and enough salt to mummify a corpse is nonsense. Naturally raised chickens are sweet and tender. When we can afford it, we buy them from the farmers market and they are heavenly.

Cthulu is in the building: http://schiit.com/products/floor-wart

Ordered! Great idea. Apparently the registration email is automated, but the order confirmation is not because I haven't received that message yet five hours later. (Previous orders were via Amazon; I'm spoiled, sorry.) Looking forward to freeing up some space on the power strip.

Yep, it's Chinese. Sure, we could make it here with a custom transformer, PCB, wiring, and a more attractive steel/aluminum case...and add $100 on to the retail price. So China won in this case. Same guys that make all of our other wall-warts.

Thanks for the answer. I wasn't disagreeing with your choice, just curious. It's an interesting solution.

Which is 100% idiotic. Sorry, I don't do audio nervosa.

But I swear my blue USB cable sounds better than my black one, and a see-through Edison plug really cleaned up the Gungnir!

The floor-wart has 4 outputs... 2 wires each, so that's 8 total... you guys missed the opportunity to call it Sleipnir!
