I don't doubt that. However I imagine its more because of better dac implementations, not necessarily amp sections.

I think theres more to than just DACs and amp sections. My iPhone4 sounds good for what it is but it doesn't even touch my Studio V or AK120 in terms of sound quality. I did feel the iPhone improved with amplification but nothing large or to warrant carrying amp with it. Ultimately I think imementation is the most important aspect in regards to the outcome in sound quality. The 3rd ANV is a testament of that IMO.

The cover of that song is just beautiful. I'll try the weirdness when I get home.

New BADBADNOTGOOD song is, predictably, excellent-- and it sounds great on the ASG-2:

ok so its much better than the C5 right ? under the condition that they have to be paired with a ASG-2 , cuz its a big price leap for me
the C5 is like S$230 and the T1 is S$389 , i prefer something cheaper but if the T1 is that much better then id go for it ?
and in anycase thanks Eke youve helped me quite alot =)
If you guys mean Tralucent T1 it was below 250 last I checked. And pairs great with all iems. Why 389?

They mean the ibasso t1 amp.

I have the JDS C421. If the C5 is a step above that, I'd suggest it. I like my C421. Long battery life, as transparent as I can tell, and more than enough juice for anything I'd throw at it.

I suggest the Leckerton UHA6 MKII or Tralucent T1 amp. You'd be hard pressed to beat those. I prefer both by a nice margin over the O2 amp. Not sure how the C431, C5, or ibasso T1 amps would fair but I honestly don't see them comparing. I preferred the Leckerton and Tralucent over the DX100s internal amp section which is supposedly better than their flagship amp section.

I actually meant the Tralucent.

Agreed on all count.  For $250 the Tralucent T1 is hard to beat.  Pitch black and able to add so much to the clarity and definition to the notes.

I'm using it with my AK120 now. Very nice improvement in sound. Well worth it IMO. This baby made me always use the DX100 and it pairs very well on the AK120 as well! :). I've missed this little unit. It's been quite a while....

yep that includes taxes and also singapore's currency is lower than its US variant. although it should be $315 singapore dollars not $389 =/
Yeah thanks Eke ! i got to try the T1 already very solid amp it was what the g-2s needed , but i think i am going to ditch the "Sandwhiches" for now and go with the Fiio X3 ,
found out that the X3 is better than most ipod/iphone + amp setups . plus when i was listening to Christina Agulera - Beautiful at 0:29 seconds her voice became very " distorted " at first i thought it was the G-2s so i change the EQ from piano to treble booster then to off Same problem , so i when i went back plugged the G-2s in opened the same music file on foobar and listened no distortion whatsoever even on extreme volumes the crackle was "almost" non-existent  but at high listening volume ( a volume i doubt people will listen can make you deaf if you do it for long ) no crackle at all , confirmed with my SRH-1840s and my TF10 , the ipod setup crackles with supernatural vocals... tried it on the AK100 DX100 and the Colorfly C4 at my local retailer who let me demo them with my own files. so i pulling the trigger on the Fiio X3 and buying it for S$296 Singapore Dollars ( $234 USD) hoping it will be a step up from just ipods and amps , ( i dont want to go triple decker i don tlike having to charge two device for one purpose imagine 3..)
