Philips Fidelio X2?!
Jul 31, 2014 at 3:52 PM Post #166 of 15,268
The X2 will be here shortly, I do have the L2 as well. Philips also confirmed me the pads of the X2 are removable!

And with that, I just started the return process with Amazon to return my X1s and patiently wait for the X2s to come on sale. I will make due with my DT770s till then.

Well, we can remove most headphone pads. It's re-attaching them that's the challenge. :p

Sure putting back is more tricky

But all the posts about X1's non-removable earpads make me thinking of the risks for X2

I`ve removed pads on X1 several times and put them back also. When You do it right way and carefully it`s not so hard. Just there is chance to break one of those click-pins due to glue at first removal.

That`s good to hear that X2 pads are removable. Can You take some pics of it Baycode?

As stated before @Baycode got them in Istanbul, Turkey and picture should be posted earlier in this thread if I'm not mistaken.

I'm pretty sure he metioned somewhere that he paid Euro 380/$500 for them. The German Philips site has them listed at Euro 300 (but not yet available to purchase) so that sounds about right,

Part of me wishes they were a summit fi hp and the other part is glad I wont have to sell something for them.

My thought exactly

Edit: also prices tend to be the same in USD as in EUR on most stuff so if they gets avaialble in the US they could be as cheap as USD 300........

If I wasn't so set to get the 400i whenever I have an actual chance to afford it, the X2 would be my second choice.
