  Hi,

bug or feature?
The hardware keys play/pause, prev and next and also volume up/down only working if I set them on in the key-lock settings, custom lockscreen setting. If they are set to off, they have no function even in the normal screen. But I want to have the keys not working only in the lockscreen mode.

Have anybody else this behaviour?

same here the lockscreen lock the keys at all times

1.1.4 installed, no noticable change yet. Android seems more reactive, could be placebo.

Yes 1.1.4 is faster than 1.1.3.  I just upgraded and the app update took much less time than it did when I updated to 1.1.3.  Also overall the system is soooo fast.  I don't think it is palcebo.

Now to see if my Fiio music app issues are fixed....

Seeing quite a few errors like this:

Active_Limbic_System-Karahana_Original_Mix.mp3:An error occurred within abstractID3v2FrameBody for identifier:COMM:Unable to find null terminated string

Any ideas?

Try and find what part of the ID3 tag its snagging on an unexpected character and batch edit it out with MusicBrainz or something? Or just report what character or whatever is causing the problem once you find it with a ID3 editor and fiio should fix it.

i just checked and those files with errors are in the library fine.
so i am not sure which ones it has not scanned as there are no other errors in the lastlog file.

It could still be something wrong with the ID3 of the file. Try removing all the fields from a copy and add it if it does the same thing. It definitely possible it could still add the file to library despite finding an exception with a certain field of the ID3 of the file.

I have one album that I can not play in the Fiio music app.  It locks the entire app up and I have to go into settings -> apps and force stop it to get it back.  It's John Coltrane Blue Train in 24/192 FLAC.  Anyone else having similar issues?  It works fine in Poweramp.

Will do when I get time but my main priority is getting missing 150 or so files into library. Need to identify them.

Interesting!  Beach Camera also runs under the auspices of Buydig.com.  I recently bought an Escort Max 2 from them.  Excellent customer service.

I know this doesn't address your question regarding the X5, but IMO, they are a reputable dealer to start with.

Just thought i would report

just updated to 1.1.4. before update pure music mode and fio music on android would crash every time without fail. Also when using napster/rhapsody in android mode i would loose all downloaded music after shut down or reboot. so far both these issues for me have been fixed. big sigh of relief,  i really want this thing working for me

Loving my FX5iii!

But, I don't like having to use the power button every time I need to wake the screen up. On my Onkyo DP-X1 I used an app called Volume Unlocker which as the name suggests wakes up the screen when the volume knob is used. But the app doesn't seem the work with the X5iii - anybody any idea why? It's not as if  the volume knob is disabled when the screen is off. Bothe DAPs have pretty up to date Android releases so I am at a loss......

Is slow download on 1.1.4 the norm for people that have done it?
I got 1 MB/s on 1.1.3. 1.1.4 is back to 100Kb an showing as taking an hour plus. .
I have a 30mb/s pipe ... Just curious.

I find it a PIA as well... and the lock time is way too short. Having to press the power button then unlock to do anything is just not real convenient.
Either being able to set a longer time or something like the app that you mention would be great.
