Shame that you two (above) had a bad experience with these. Had mine for a month or so now and they've been fine slung in a bag on my commute - even surviving a motorcycle crash! I'll give you that the headband would be my choice of the weakest link if I was pressed to choose one, but on the whole Denon are generally known to have decent build quality.
Glad you got a reliable MM-400!
This is my first Denon ever.
I love the sound signature of the MM-400, however, it has happened twice.
If it happens the third time, I won't want to get Denon anymore.
The service centre from where I live is about 2 hours journey, and a month's wait for the new set to be shipped.
I am willing to sacrifice the beautiful sound signature over reliability and durability affecting the Earphones Components affecting its sound signature.
I never had issue affecting the Earphones Components with my other gears.
