Does it still quit after a year? Or have they fixed it? Are there ANY alternatives with as much power?
I also had one in 2017 and the battery quit after a year. They sent me a replacement and the replacement quit after a year also. The sound is so awesome though i want another, however I want to know if the battery issue has been sorted.I had Mojo in 2017 and it quit after a year on me, they replaced it though, but then half a year later I sold it. Unsure about 2020/21 production line.
Not so much low quality, but because Mojo circuit's power consumption is really borderline for portable design and more suitable as desktop application, therefore it stresses the battery a lot which naturally results in shorten lifespan.sounds like the battery is small and only survives so much or they are using low quality batteries.
Battery issues are no longer a problem for me with the Chord Mojo. It's easy to replace it as there is a nice video on how to do it on YouTube. And, you can purchase a replacement battery on aliexpress for $20. I just bought two of them.I also had one in 2017 and the battery quit after a year. Just a heads up. If the mojo is easy to open you should check on it periodically. Many batteries sold on websites like Ali Express swell up, some sooner than later. You can check LGV20 threads on Reddit for verification of this. I point this out because the V20 wasn't the coolest running phone and I'm willing to bet the Mojo gets hotter. Wouldn't want your baby to get thrashed over a swollen battery.I received the battery guys.
Posted in the Chord Mojo topic, as more people will see it there. This is the post:

And again, for no confusion, this is the battery: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005001594239756.html
Works well, still need to test it how long the battery life is, but at first glance all is fine and working.

Thank you good sir. I bough today thermal double-sided tape and will apply it where the original was. By advice yours and Kentajalli's from the other topic to get better cooling.Note that if you can, glue the replacement battery back to Mojo housing using thermal double-sided tape. As I recalled, one of the big reason why Mojo has such a heavy case is because Chord needs it for the thermal mass to cool down the battery.
How are you getting on with the replacement batteries (no swelling I hope!!)? Did you find the battery charge was the same as the original battery when new? I've just watched the video on replacing the battery in the Mojo - it does look very quick and easy.Thank you good sir. For someone that reads this and is interested in this battery, i don't know if can recommend it overall. I would say no. Mojo works 5 hours and charges 4 with it. Just....it is not great. Vs. 8 hours and 5 hours and 45 min charging for the original battery.
Mojo works OK with it though, if that is what you need, it is fine. No drops in performance or anything else strange as far as i can pick.
Here are my results: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-mojo-dac-amp-☆★►faq-in-3rd-post-◄★☆.784602/page-2755#post-16268928
