I've been regularly reading this wonderful thread and a few others while dreaming on my next dap and one thing is puzzling me. The AK4490EQ is a 768kHz/11.2MHz dsd capable dac (http://www.akm.com/akm/en/product/datasheet1/?partno=AK4490EQ) why limiting the dap to 24bit/192kHz and DSD 128? The new Shanling M5 does that too. Is it a software issue, or filtering issue?

Mainly limited by MCU of the DAP, which is responsible to DDC function prior to sending Data into DAC chipset. There are better MCU in 3C market, but DAP manufacturer can hardly meet the MOQ (minimum order quantity) of these MCU chipset.

You should be able to find the driver in the download page:

Cayin website was built by Flash, and due to recent security issue, Flash has bee banned by several browser, so you'll see a big blank on the webpage instead of control buttons, You can try to access the website through IE, should display the Flash control banner alright and you can move around without much trouble.

Cayin is aware of the issue and is in the process of building a new website. The Chinese version of our website is up and running already, we are preparing the English content and as soon as the English translation is ready, you won't have this flash problem once and for all.

If you are using Windows 8/8.1/10, your default security setting might have stopped you from installing the driver, Please google "signature driver enforcement" for further detail.

Hello i am considering getting N5 so here is my questions hope somebody can be kind to help.
 
1.  This has Usb 3.0 cable,  I have problem using Usb 3.0 on my pc i have to fix it,  Can i conect N5 to Usb 2.0 port?
2.  it comes with a Usb 3.0 to Usb 2.0 cable right, so i can use that to conect N5 to usb 2.0 port, However my pc is big Pc tower with usb conexion at the top
    I have to U-bend the cable and put the N5 on top of the Pctower...but if cable is short thats a problem.... Can i buy a optional longer USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 cable that will work?
3.  Can more Uci themes be downloaded or only the 4 already avaible on N5?
4.  Is the Fiber backside made of Glass or is it more like thick plastic, can it scratch or break?

1.2. USB 3.0 is backward compatible and you can use usb 2.0 micro cable
3. Only 4, but you can mod it yourself.
4. I don't know i think it's acrylic, i always use a protection case.
