I would like to share Cayin I5 new Dap.

Cayin change release Date to 08.06.2016

They found out on the pre production unit have some problem and need to change .

Sorry in Chinese Language .

The final production changes to :

New Casing

Change the old PCB with new PCB Board.

They change with new Op Amp too

If on the market came out the review are base on the Old Unit Cayin I5

Look so promissing now Cayin I5

But yeah I'm eager to see how the final product gonna sound like. With each update, it looks more promising.

Rudi is a good friend, we didn't run into each other for quite a while, glad he still follow the latest development of Cayin DAPs. :beerchug:

Yes, they are very good photo taken by Cayin's photographer, In fact, this set of photo were taken at my request as previous photo were showing Chinese UI instead of English UI, I was reserving these photo for the tour announcement. :D

Im using a C5 as my go to amp for more than a year now. Its just perfect. These days Im looking for a DAP. i5 Looks really good but the release date is so far away

I totally respect that and kudos and thanks to keeping the community informed of the product development and we all follow it with piqued interest.
 
 So can we set a standard in DAP architecture for audio connection? Yes, you don't need a rocket scientist to do that, and we have the professional audio industry to look up to.

Apple doesn't need a rocket scientist have their docking standard become de facto and now even Sony has to make an docking station amp/speaker set with Apple connector. But I guess there is too much rivalry among DAP makers to standardise on this plus the product turn over time is so short these days anything standardised now might be out of date already

Will you be able to use this as an external DAC/amp from a laptop on the go?
