tested the sony experia z of my friend last night and it's working with hrt microstreamer without the need of UAPP app

however it only supports 16/44 flac files :frowning2:

You'll need UAPP for higher than 16-bit rates.

16 bit is a resolution not a rate.

I think he was using a shorthand for "rates that accompany 16-bit resolution." Which seemed clear from context, but someone else may have the same question, I suppose.

Stating 16 bit would have not required any implications and would be accurate. Or simply state, "16 bit associated rates."
Edit: Perhaps I take things too literally, however, some others may erroneously take it for fact.

Thanks for the clarification, I think what I intended was quite clear from context but agree communications of technicalities should be precise enough not to require context to necessarily ensure their correct interpretation. In my defence I will point out that I was replying from my phone, and additionally experiencing next-level sleep deprivation on account of month old twins.

Not to worry. Congratulations on the twins. Once they become teenagers..........
