The counterfeits are easy to spot imo Everything is different. Color, finish, ect.
hmm, the knock off is 90% close to the real thing..I am kind of worried, how can we be sure the one we have is the real deal instead of knock offs.I did read through some of the posts before from packaging to minor difference but hoping there's a for sure tell tale sign from just looking at it to be able to tell the difference.

Harman Kardon concluded that mine were counterfeit, but took the salesperson a good five minutes of examination to discern (and she owned the K3003i herself). Perhaps your powers of observation are supreme among mortals, but my data suggests that there must be at least two degrees of quality in the knockoff world.
Now I am really concern that the one I bought from Amazon for over $600 might be fake as well. Although everything matches up to the real thing in one of the earlier post but sounds like there's some real good counterfeit out there. Did the sales person at Harmon give you any clues or tell tale sign the main difference between real vs fake?
If (some of) the fakes are this good, I almost am inclined to say that worrying about whether an item is truly genuine is just an exercise in unnecessary anxiety.
Ok..the unthinkable has happened...and I don't even know how it is possible.
I have had my K3003i's for about 11 months now. They are absolutely the best earphones I have ever heard.
A couple of days ago, I started getting an occasional light popping noise while listening to Spotify. I assumed it was just a random issue with the streaming.
When listening today, something sounded off. I never found the k3003 overly bright, but today it did.
I used a tone generator and have determined that I have a channel imbalance with just the low bass frequencies on the left earphone. It's not that the bass is gone completely...it is just much lower volume.
How could this happen out of the blue?! I don't get it.
