Shozy Zero IEMs

Please if you can let me know how do they compete against the FX850 :D thanks.

I think they are able to hold their own quite well. The focus on sound presentation is a bit different between the two. FX850 can push out more bass but shozy is no slouch either. Shozys mids are thicker IMO and it's a more mid focused presentation vs the FX850. I also find the mid presentation of the Shozy to be more spread out and in that even easier to focus on those details. It fleshes the detail out more due to this and I really like that.

FX850s treble is smoother and I'd say more extended. I'll have to listen to both side by side again and I can give more detailed impressions. What I will say about the FX850 is they have a spectacular way of imaging. This lends itself quite well to gaming (where positioning is key or you give yourself away). Others may thing you are cheating but instead I can hear them and think ahead of them.

How did you know which DAP I was moving to next?

But seriously, after hearing Zero out of a more mid-centric source I can see just what Zero need to gain a little excitement, and I was thinking N5 will add punch to the bass, lean up the mids a bit, and provide nice sparkle up top. Esther Analog is giving very nice soundstage, so I'm not expecting that to improve too much but I could be surprised.

Funny thing is I thought of that this morning when I threw them back in my ears but had totally forgotten about your holy mission to convert the world to N5 -> Zero, lol

Oh yeah, @TwinACStacks you can totally get airy sound in IEM IMHO. Just gotta find the right IEM + source.

Yes Nik, I realize there are some combos out there that can sound Airy but I don't expect anything closed back to sound that way. It's nice if it does, but then I don't imagine Bassheads really care about Air either....

thank you for your input, I will have to wait a few more days for my Zero and hear it for myself :D  I will be surprised if the Zero beat my FX850 lol :D

Gotta raise your expectations, man

BTW, is anyone using SpinFit with these? I just tried and found it cleaned up the sound quite a bit for me.

H20Fidelity: What tips are you using?

I could easily see people preferring the Shozy over the FX850. They sound that good IMO.

I do prefer the Shozy Zero (with spiral dots) over the Fx850

1. I'll take the Zero's bass over the FX850 any day (in fact the FX850 bass was one reason I let it go)

2. Comfort. No comparison.

But the FX850 cable was less microphonic... FX850 was a wonderful earphone to me but in small doses, here and there.

Glad there's another. I don't seem to remember seeing many peeps using them, but I'm digging the sound with SpinFit!

Hey nmatheis, sorry for the confusion about the tips, hard to keep track sometimes... Never heard the Spin fits.  You should try the Spiral dots if you ever get a chance.
Bought the Zen 2.0 because of you but received Zero same day and the Zero are kinda stilling the show!!!
