Another one, very positive review ar Passion for Sound: http://passionforsound.lachlanfennen.com/shozy-zero-iem/
Excellent read, very critical and sounds like he knows his stuff. In summary the nit picks the Zeros raise are normally associated in the $600 pricepoint so get them!

Must have at least 60-80hours of listening time on my Zeros so far and using the widest bore silicons that came with the Shozys , was wearing them today while driving and was struck by how much Im enjoying them .. more than any other! noticing subtle improvements in seperation and clarity as they burn in on my ears. Another big bonus is the comfort and lightness of them , hardly aware anything is in my ears makes their sound an even more impressive in head musical pleasure. The out of head A83s, soundstage IE80s , Tennmak Pros and the brilliant little 808s continue to dangle in office wardrobe along with less impressive stepping stones..
When I chose the HLSX 808 over the Shozy, I assumed the Shozy was probably superior, but that is less important than having a mic that I need often, so I went 808. I can still wait for Shozy to release a mic version. It's the same reason I've passed on all Musicmaker IEMs.

You could have done alot worse than the 808s , mentioned before that if I had to keep just two in my collection and sell the rest the Zeros and 808s would remain.. goodbye A83 and IE80s etc they certainly offer better in some areas but as an overall package including extended listening sessions , comfort and staying in ears..
If Shozy eventually offered a step up say the Zero2 for double the asking price (or more ) of the original Id be all over it !

I put at least a hundred hours on mine and wasn't blown away. They're not for everyone, no headphone is and none should be portrayed in such a way IMO. I'm still very thankful I got to try a review set and I don't know if the ones I heard was a pre-release model or not. To some people $50-60 is a hefty investment and can't afford to keep an army of IEMs around so for those people I hope they get what they want. Certainly for some of them the Zero will be what they want but not everybody. More burn in isn't going to change that much.

What don't you like about them exactly? I will be receiving mine in 2 days and looking forward to hearing them but am skeptical that they will live up to the hype.

To not clutter the thread too much, I don't have much to say that I haven't already said, so please check out my review of the Zero.
In short I thought the mids/highs were just a bit stuffy sounding and the mid bass was a bit bloated, sub bass wasn't really there. However you must take my impressions with a grain of salt as I'm a basshead that needs serious impact & refinement between 20hz and 60hz to be happy so I have lots of high power amps and bass heavy headphones/IEMs.

Something seems a bit off there.. no detectable bloat in mid bass on mine and theres a decent amount of subbass especially using the wide bore large silicons.. could it be you got dud pair of Zeros?
Have you got the XB90EX by any chance? If so what are your impressions compared to the Zeros?

Vapeman , you should have burned them in longer on higher volume using bass heavy music. The midrange is clean full and never stuffy.
