[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!

I FIND THAT EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE

Look at my posts on the KZ and Earbud threads, I have a wide interest. If you don't retract your insinuation I shall report it, it's totally out of order.

As you are entitled to your preferences, I am entitled to my concerns based on evidence that, hypothetically, is indicative of what I wrote.

If it doesn't apply to you, I apologize. However, your overreaction only adds to the narrative.

Not sure why I keep seeing Hi-Z stuff mentioned here so often. It's pretty clear the Monk has won the war so far when it comes to price-to-performance earbuds.

Anyways, I have a bunch of different Monks now and I have to say I'm leaning towards the balanced (2.5mm) one, with the 3.5mm adapter. There's a slight refinement to my ears, with more space in the mix.

Does anyone else have them? Willing to share your thoughts?

You're entitled to what you prefer, but it looks a little suspicious to me that you keep popping in this thread to mention Hi-Z.

With how competitive the Chinese audio industry is, I wouldn't be surprised if money changed hand for subliminal marketing such as this, hypothetically, seems.

Wake me up when Hi-Z sell 3500 + 5300 earbuds on Massdrop.

i am a ve fan and have many monk and monk+
i have to admit hi-z is better than monk+
it doesnt matter on the massdrop sales but based on sound wise, monk > hi-z hp32 > monk+
sources used for comparison: questyle qp1r, ak380, shanling m3.
cheers!

Personally, if I walked into a MrSpeakers thread and just said "Focal/Hifiman/ZMF/Audeze" are better repeatedly, I would be called out by those in the thread who are there to read about the Ether / Ether C Flow.

I don't understand why any of what you wrote just now is relevant. Take it to a general earbuds thread or the Hi-Z thread.

just, go to earbuds thread. Done :hushed:

Or made your thread TY Hi-Z

Point taken (I've been on the earbuds thread for a while), but I wasn't the first person to mention them on here, and I see nobody has called out audio123 for his comment on them.

What you own does not give you a ticket to derail a thread.

Cheers.

@Willber That's because audio123 thinks the argument is  'which is best earbud', whereas the issue really is  that you mentioned them at all !

I accept you apology, my 'overreaction' was genuinely felt but perhaps overstated. Anyway, I've got the message. (BTW, I own and enjoy four sets of Monk+).

i have the right to be entitled to an opinion. what i did was to offer a suggestion in terms of what I rank them to be instead of being insistent what is the best. I have explored many options with different sources or tracks to come to that conclusion.
cheers!

Guys PLEASE keep the thread on topic and not derail. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but that doesn't give you the right to derail the thread. This thread is for discussing the Monk plus and comparisons and such. but repeatedly assuring a competing product is better out of the blue is frowned upon and frankly unwarranted. Please make a dedicated thread and or take it to the general thread. Any further attempts to derail the thread WILL be reported to the mods.

@Willber  @audio123 Rick you should know better mate, you ain't a newbie :p
