just did upon your requestbeing on the leaner side, the ZX100 does balance off the bass heavy nature of both the XBA-A3 (vol 20/30) and Z5 (vol17/30). for Z5 the definition of the bass and clarity of highs beats the A3 clearly. personally, prefers the new XBA-300 over both of these

AJ isn't an authorized dealer that's that's problem
How? I got my XBA-A3 from JapaneseLady (3rd party seller on amazon) and are working fine no DOA, original sealed factory package (direct from Japan) JL is also no authorized dealer
My experience with the Z5 hasn't really given me confidence in Sonys ability to build defect free headphones so I would prefer to go with authorized dealers in that case. The Ex1000/MDR 7550 build quality is miles ahead. Z5 might look more premium but its a step down.
The cable in the XBA 300P looks quite thin and it looks like they might have gone with that abomination of an MMCX connector they used previously, so I am not holding my breath.
Hi @Uncle E1, do you think this xba 300 is a good upgrade option from xba 100? I love to hear audiophile music, does this xba 300 suit me?
