Lol George that's what I tweet them too hahaha
Don't think so. The EarWerkz house sound is not bass-lite, but not bass monster-like either. Definitely not like a Roxanne, or even an 8a/8c on the one hand, but on the other it's not like a VE6XC either in terms of being more polite in the low-end.
Jack told me the Penta is based off of the Supra, but more resolving and detailed all around.
Ok thanks mate. I just hope Jason will build a dream, a basshead ciem that has a resolution at the high end. I would definitely save up for it and buy. I heard great and just great things about him, maybe he will try to do some stuff about it. Maybe a differently tuned version of Legend R with boosted bass both in sub and mid bass while trying to keeping the rest of the clarity as much as possible.
Or, maybe, something like 335DW you know, more organic and rich with polite, smooth treble. However I doubt that EarWerkz do polite treble, as far as I can understand their trebles are quite up front without being sibilant.
The name is Jack Vang, CEO of EarWerkz and seriously all around great guy.
Ops, a very big mistake, my apologies. To him and to everyone who reads this thread. I am gonna edit my entry.
No worries! We are all human.Glad to see you around on this thread!
LOL I was thinking the same thing - "Who is that Jason guy? Maybe he ment Jack? but then I thought he might have some internal information on the staff members
I am actually very very interested in EarWerks and their work I simply read nothing but great, beyond great things about them. I have 2 problems though, one that I am still working on my masters thesis, so first I need to get the degree and get a job. Secondly, I am actually looking for a basshead-high fi dream ciem. I can see Jack is a very talented guy, maybe he would enter a project like that and create a different tuning of Legend R or Penta maybe.
I have SE5way already, it is neutral, organic, rich, warmish, resolution master and has the blackest background around. I see Legend R is also slightly warm but probably has a brighter treble than SE5way. Though more or less they are still in the same ball park I believe. That's why I am after a dream basshead ciem.
Even if I am not a customer right now, I always support manufacturers who treats their customers right and takes a good care of them.
