Onboard video available?

kind of weird that it happened during sleep mode.

Last two things that come to mind are bad psu or wonky bios.

Edit: My X2s are amazing! Bought a Kabeldirekt cable from Amazon. Very nice!

I don't own a Mediabridge cable so I can't say. The QED cable isn't really expensive in the high-end cable world though, I believe it's rather affordable.

As in MoBo video?  Tried using it with and without the GPU in place, no difference.  I'm with you on the bad PSU or wonky BIOS.  I'll call Asus tomorrow and see what they suggest...

People on the bad reviews were saying it had no shielding and broke on them in a couple of months. Not talking about the stock fidelio cable, mine is perfectly fine. Just looking for a shorter one to switch around with.

I think 35 euro's is quite a bit for a cable. But maybe that's just me.

Ok Interesting. So I guess this would be a good match with the X2 as well. Have to order it form America though.. Can't find this cable in Holland or Amazon.uk. Then they'll probably hit me with custom fee etc here in Holland.
 
Edit: Nevermind. Found it at ebay.co.uk as well.
 
Edit 2: Ships from Hong-Kong though. So will still get slapped with customs etc.

customs steps in around 30 euros or so.. so you must be good :wink:

I don't know...the cable was shipped quick to USA and never paid any extra for customs. I didn't buy this to search for an audio gain I only wanted a shorter cable. Works great!

My impression after 300+ hours is that amping makes a difference.. On my Beresford Busmaster 2 the X2 sounds very good, but on the V200 bass is much more present and detailed..
The rumble in Mahler3 is awesome on the Violectric, on the Beresford it just isn't there..
 
I think amping does make more of a difference then some people think.

That's what everyone says about every single loved headphone ever. If it's well liked, regardless of whether it needs it or not, amping will always make a difference even when it doesn't.

Sometimes i think people just really wanna justify their equipment purchases.

What do i think? The X2 is sensitive to an amp's inherent signature/tonality, not it's power. Hell, I'd say the same about the DAC.

The X2 is not demanding whatsoever.

I agree I wouldn't buy the V200 just for the X2, maybe..but I found the difference remarkable and considerably more then I would expect..
 
The X2 is awesome with the V200, great with the Beresford..
