Thank you! Now you made my DX50 perfect :)

Another issue I've found is that now I'm FORCED to download/rip albums strictly in FLAC format. Mp3 < 320kbps sound horrible, even 320kbps isn't that good...haha :D. I'm glad I replaced my old iPod classic. I can't believe that for a long time I considered it the best player.

Thanks again Sorensiim!

Yes, yes, let the audiophilia flow through you!

Soon, it will consume you and you will be on a never-ending hunt for that perfect trinity of source, amp and headphones!

The 5 second setting helps significantly, however, I still hear breaks between tracks that should play continuously like Pink Floyd "The Wall" and Queensryche "Operation:  Mindcrime".  I am using 1.2.3b and have relayed my comments to iBasso - have not received any response back from them in 4 attempts.  Of course - this item was included in a longer list of suggestions (I posted a copy of the last list emailed to iBasso over on the bug fix thread).

I will say that 1.2.3b has been much more stable for me and I like the sound much better than 1.2.2.  But everyone has different likes/dislikes/etc - one of the advantages of having eq options in my opinion.

Cheers,
Tim

Talk about DX50 addiction!

I find myself pressing the volume button on the Galaxy S2 to turn the screen off.

Hi..I just got a DX50 when I went to J*ben HK a couple of days ago.
I'm agree that even though this dap is using a Wolfson chip but is sounds to be bright on my ears.quite significant difference with the muddy fiio X3.
The thing about this dap is, somehow I missed the "feature" on my iPod whereby the music will automatically paused when I plugged out the earphone.
Hope that ability is built on this dap though :|

The funny thing is it does exactly that on the Line Out. I've got the feeling someone mixed up the outputs when implementing the feature . :p

Hi,
I've recently added my first 192k file (Cassandra Wilson, New Moon Daughter) and I'm getting pops and clicks like it's on vinyl.  Same thing with 1.2.2 or 1.2.3.  I don't have the issue with listening with my laptop so I think the file is fine.  Any chance this could be a speed issue with the SD card? It's Sandisk SDXC which is supposed to be fast. My 24/96 stuff all sounds fine.

Wish I had the 96k version, I got the 192 by mistake, too fast on the buy button.

See if it happens when it is loaded on the internal memory.

Scott,
Cards usually don't have speed issues with audio stuff. Also, there are many free programs that will easily convert your 192Hz file to 96Hz, so you can have exactly what you wanted:

Windows: http://xrecode.com/

Has anyone heard the new NAD HP50s with the DX50? I just pulled the trigger on a pair of cans without listening to them (yolo

) and I'm curious to how they'll sound.

Wow, this thread has had so many posts.

Has anyone described or compared the last 3 FW sound signatures by chance? I think I'm on v1.2

Hi,
I just copied it over to the internal memory and that did the trick. No clicks.  It's andALAC file just downloaded from HDTracks.  .  Do you think it's a firmware thing?  I'll keep my files to 96K, not sure I can tell the difference.  Interesting, none the less.
Thanks for all the responses!

Cool! I find that headphone really interesting. Tyl really liked that headphone too.
Like with most headphones/earphones, the DX50 will be great.
