Seriously?? No strain reliefs? If the cable goes then its several weeks to months to get it replaced again. Have they not learned their lesson?
Well, Vsonic's CEO states it should be directly compared to sony ex1k and that it competes with it. Now wheter you believe that is another matter.
It's not really their fault for how long takes to get it replaced. Either don't import products from different continent or pay for faster shipping
Woosh! Right over your head Way to miss my point. They have a known QC problem with that design. Why would they go with it then?
I had the lunashops vsd3 upgrade cable with mic and its infinitely better construction wise. I wish they would design with a similar cable. It's not even funny how much better the upgrade cable is. Penon sells the lunashops cable.

No, I read your post. I just elected to comment on the portion of your complaint that Vsonic has no control over. I agree on the rest
Nah, they have a well known QC problem with their MMCX connectors - the connectors are gone, so is the QC issue.
Fair enough, that's a solid point. However the lack of strain reliefs still raise a few questions about long term durability. That's the only reason I held off from buying the GR07 BE. Specifically the lack of strain relief going into the ear piece.

Well, i want to buy an $100 IEM from VSONIC but their build quality is not good. VSD3S non detachable comes with the cable glued to the earpiece. I can see the glue coming out there. They look very cheap. Cable is bad, no strain reliefs and too thin and easy to cut.
At least they sound good. Well, not that good. But very good for the price. But i don't think I will ever spend too much money on a VSONIC unless they upgrade their build quality and resistance over time. They also fail in time somehow too easily.
This is their business: very cheap material with good sound. Wonder if that really works over time against a strong build quality IEM just some bucks more expensive with similar SQ...
Well, the thing with over-the-ear design is that they don't really need a strain relief because the cable isn't constantly pulled and moved the the base like with straight down cables. Yeah, strain reliefs can add extra security but the back of you ear is absorbing the big pulls and movement of the cable.
Well, that's your opinion. I've had pretty much all vsonic iems to date and haven't had any of them fail, especially at the cable. The vsd3s is my daily beater and I use it pretty much every day and it's from the very first batch from 6 months ago and have zero issues with its build quality.
That's a solid point as well but the sharp edge where the cable inserts puts extra stress on the wire. Seriously why can't they make it like those aftermarket cables? Problem solved. similar strain reliefs but much better executed imo
