No, not really. IM70 has it's own strengths, but overall it's outclassed by the CKR series.
 
Back to the VSoinc, I'm really thinking of grabbing a pair of these to check them out, but I worry that they'd be too similar to the VSD3S. I guess I'll wait for the first round of impressions.

Also, wrt to the VSD5, they are going for the EX1000 right? So we can expect it to be a sibilant mess? I kid I kid. But one can sort of prepare for how their VSD5 might sound

I feel the same way like you do but this wait is driving me crazy......so Im not sure whether I stick to skip

People say GR07 CE has quite sibilance...They also say VSD3S has some sibilance...To me, VSD3S has almost no sibilance...
 
How is sibilance compare between these two? Is GR07 Classic more "sibilant" than VSD3S?

Well I`m a noob but I`ve noticed that most people with sibilance problems usually listen to music super loud, maybe it`s not your case and this is why you don`t have problem with the VSD3S

Vsd3s has fair amount of sibilance.
 
I don't know about gr07 classic but I have vsd1,vsd3s,gr07be
I would say : - gro7be>vsd1>vsd3s

I loved the old style right angle jacks on vsd1,gr07 jacks.

A lot of it has also to do with a recording and EQ/mastering of the track as well as quality of the recorded vocals.
