It's even easier if you use the advanced search:

Wow, this thread has gone super-nova.  Lots of posts each day.

In an effort to obtain a summary of what's happening, I just found the latest JamesFiiO post and ran an "All Posts".

This is a great way to get the facts, separating the wheat from the chaff.

Thanks,

Mike

I've the "notify me immediately" e-mail setting on for this thread.
It does wonders too.

Getting email notifications from this thread would be like getting a never ending supply of cat facts. (let me know if anyone of you gets the reference)

If you're referring to this:

for people have problem to play some flac/wav lossless music purchased from HDtracks, please check the size and resolution of the embedded cover , make sure the size is not more than 1M and 1024*1024.

we found that most sound tracks from HDtracks includes a bigger cover file. to solve this problem, you can use foorbar in Windows PC and remove the cover first, and change the size and resolution and them

add to the album or sound tracks again. and sorry I am not so familar with Mac OS so maybe someone known how to handle the embedded cover in MAC .

I use a Mac with my X3, and I have a dozen or so 192kHz albums purchased from HDTracks.

Basically I imported all of the songs into iTunes, highlighted them and did "Get Info", then ticked a tickbox for Artwork (this makes it delete the existing cover art). After that, I embedded a 400x400 JPG cover art (around 100kB each), and they are all showing up fine on the X3.

I can say I'm impressed.

Heard a few tracks and I couldn't stop listening. I'm the "skip-skip-skip-skip-until-I-find-a-song-I'm-in-the-mood-to-listen" kinda guy, and I didn't skip any of the songs I had on the library, it is very fun very engaging media player, which was what I was looking for. I don't care too much about technicalities, but maybe it's the raw power the device has that makes all the spectrum very accentuated and accurate.

I have the Walkman Z1060 and the Walkman A865, both of which are regarded as very fun media players, and I like them a lot, but they feel thin in comparison (Both are the dreaded European capped version though), as if the X3 adds a new layer of something.

I'm 200€ poorer, but I feel a bit happier.

Will continue testing.
