I'd be a happy camper if they just updated THIS one, lol. But another low cost one would be a welcome addition to their excellent lineup.

I’m with you. I’m sure the new model they are developing will be pretty decent, but I don’t really need something that bulky and smartphone like.  Something similar in size to the new Sony NWZ-A10 range would be perfect.

Hello

I am currently using my C3 with B & O H6. I have to put the volume all the way up to 35 to listen to any bass or get some isolation. I heard good things about these cans and I intend to keep them. Should I get an amp or you guys thing I should get DX50 or Fiio X3 to drive these headphones. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I use a FiiO E11K with my C3, it gives me the amplification I need a has a good bass boost when I need a little more thump.

No need to go that expensive if you just need a bass boost. I just got in for review a new Brainwavz AP001 portable amp and have been using it almost exclusively with my C3. It gives good bass whilst not overpowering anything else on the C3. They make for a nice combo and it's only $29.00. Heres the link to them:

Thanks. That looks very affordable. I was actually thinking to get C&C BH. Does the brainwavz does the job of also making the volume a bit high?

Oh yeah, it does indeed give the volume a boost, a pretty strong one actually.

First, how high of the impedance of your cans? If you prefers micro details & separation i suggest to keep your c3, it's better than x3. Or if you wanna dx50, go for it.

Impedance: 30 ohms

Okay. I thing I will keep it and some say X3 and DX50 doesnt offer much in terms of sound quality then X3. Is that true?

30Ohms should be easy to drive. Personally i will choose dx50 because i prefer natural and flat sound output. Details are very good, on par with c3 if not better. Also you can install some mods to achieve better SQ.

Okay. Maybe I will get DX50. Does the size of DX50 is bigger than say C3 + amp like brainwavz? I dont want to carry a stack of 2 devices

DX50

C3 + Brainwavz AP001

Maybe you'd be better off with FiiO X1 which is also an excellent player.

Good option. The X1 takes care of your low bass scenario and has a nice UI to boot. It's also got a good EQ to help shape the sound. Sound wise, I like 'em both, the UI is what makes me use the X1 more, though.

I have an IEM assigned to each.

Fidue A83 for C3
T-Peos H-300 for X1

They both get decent airtime.

I just got the X1 in, so for now at least it's getting more airtime...but that could change depending on the IEM's I get in. I like the X1 with the new Brainwavz S0's, but also like the C3 combined with the AP001...I guess it will all come down to what I really am in the mood for that day. It's good to have options

Seriously?
FiiO actually came out with a decent UI... They must have hired a whole new group of programmers.
