3rd Annual Austin, Texas Spring Meet - March 2nd, 2013

That wide angle shot makes it look kind of bigger than it is, but it should work fine.  No strange angles.  There is a curved wall off to the right of the perspective is the only funny angle, but other than that we'll be able to make full use of the square footage.

Be happy to see your pics when you get a chance to upload them.

Sure here are 3 quick and dirty ones.

Sorry they turned out kind of crappy, I was being rushed because she had an appointment and I just showed up.  She mentioned she sent the full shot out, so I was just trying to get the corners and power outlets.

Back right (the projector screen is to the left of this corner.)

Side view, facing the front (entry) of the room

The rounded corner with one power outlet.  This is the largest chunk of the room that would be on one outlet.

Edit:  I just noticed the power outlet in this picture, I didn't remember seeing it while there.  The other back wall does, the one with the square corner, had a table butting up to the wall, so I couldn't see one there.  I assume it mirrors this wall and we do in fact have 8 power outlets.  2 back, 4 sides, 2 font.

Wait I count 4 on each side wall and at least those 2 you just noticed, likely 2 more on that wall on the other side. That would give us 10 which is enough.

Thanks for checking it out, btw.

Edit - oh that's the curved corner. That means there should be outlets on the projector wall as well.

Not all of the outlets are power.  On the side wall when there are two outlets next to each other one is power and one is an a/v outlet.

No problem, you get all the credit for finding the place!

Oh I see. I have asked her if there are outlets on the projector screen wall, if there are, we should have more than enough.

edit - There are outlets on that wall she says.

Sounds like a plan and as you said there usually ends up being less turnout than expected.

Again, sorry I'm damn near worthless on planning this year. The promotion at work is just running me ragged. I feel bad.

Still need gear lists from people. Mine is officially in the TBD state right now.

Yes, between 20 and 25 a head depending on the turnout and willingness to donate.  I would suggest we pre-register people instead of collecting money at the door.  Makes it easier to plan the contribution size.

I love your signature, I've been thinking that for a while now! xD

$20 should cover it. If there is extra I will save it to put towards future meets. What's the best way to do it? PayPal gift?

Paypal seems like the best option.

Let me know if you need anything more from me.  I'm happy to register / put the deposit down the place since I'm local, don't want to step on your toes though.

This is my list as of now (think I count 77). I just finished going through the thread and I don't think i missed anyone. This also includes a few people that didn't post here but expressed interest when I sent the mass PM.

I'm going to go ahead and send another one updating everybody on what's been going on (date, location, cover, etc). Going to try and get more gear lists together as well.

Oh, and it doesn't include Justin from HeadAmp as he isn't technically located in Texas. Hope he's still planning on attending.
