So if roma101 were to pick up an MJ591, he would ::gasp:: know something you don't!

Maybe once the LA meet is done we can sort out a trade or something (I kept forgetting to pm you)

Not a problem!

Cool!  Sometimes the name makes it easier (e.g. DubstepGirl).  Other times it's not so easy (e.g. MuppetFace).

Yup, I'll be around.  As it happens, I've been looking for a good set of closed portables that are a little more fun, exciting, lively, and offer a bit more LF response than the MJ591s do.  And as you'd expect, I've had more than a few recommendations for the HD 25-1 II thrown my way.  As a result, I've been pretty keen on giving them a good and thorough audition.

Warren, any word on the aftermarket cable?

Unfortunately not yet.  I've been eagerly awaiting it, but slow shipping.

It's hard to say.  I love it for what it is, but I think that because it was tagged as audiophile cans, I expected more.

Ahh, another crappy headphone to avoid. Thanks for the heads-up.

LOL.  Not exactly what I said, but nonetheless an interesting interpretation.

I don't think this cable will fit.  It don't look to be skinny enough to fit through the opening on the cup.

Hmm, maybe not.  If you're feeling brave, you can always have Brian over at BTG Audio mod them for you.  Maybe he can widen the port to accept any (or most) 3.5mm plug housings?

I don't think I want to put money into this headphones.  I have plenty of cans with changeable cables so it's not a priority to do this.

If I get some spare time (boy there's a fantasy I'd like to entertain more often), I'll see if I can disasemble it to investigate modding possibilities.
