MY IEM ROUND UP THREAD

As this is thread is growing quite nicely and people are coming to me for advice on threads and through PM's quite frequently, i would like to say that if you do want to ask me anything, about my IEMs, headphones, amps, sources or what not the feel free to comment the question on this thread so that i can share the answers not only with you but the rest of the community as the question may apply to them too!

Enjoy and comment any questions such as more detailed comparison requests or buying advice. I would like to say that this is inspired by jokers awesome Multi-IEM Comparison that i am sure your all familiar with.




I just thought i would mention that the scores are money no object and are a direct comparison. It is only true value scores that take price into account. For example the $300 ASG-1s score 10 in mids and the $110 Crystals score 3.5 but instead of being in comparison to there prices as some people may do they are in comparison to each other and all the other earphones i have ear.




I also would like to point out that although i have already given 10s to some earphones in areas that means that they have stood out to being awesome there but if something comes a lot better in one area i will be updating scores. I have also not put a 10 in some areas and that is because i do not think any earphone as done it perfectly yet.

Now i have also rather briefly demoed some IEMs and a Head-Fi Meet today and i still feel i have enough to give them scores but take them with a bit more of a pinch of salt. They are only SQ scores as i could not assess them physically. All listening was done with my portable rig:

Thanks man. It for me as well as when I sell or break earphones it's a quick lil comparison and also for others as well. I
Hopefully over time this will become a big table.

It annoyed me it didn't embed properly though.

i think what joker does is print screen and then make it into a pic.
 
 

Great thread. I like it because you have 2 IEMs I'm considering, the DBA-02 and the PFE 012/112.

Ooh I'll give that a go when I get home though!
Then it'll be a lot more accessible for people.

To be able to scroll down a page document and capture in an image you'll probably need something like Snag-It, but what you have there will fit in a single screen. Something to keep in mind as you add items.

CTRL + zoom out, then print screen

Tried print scree and to fit in neither have worked. It's just getting frustrating now. I think it'll remain how it is.

hmm... just saying... it doesn't seem right that IE8 has the best isolation.. since it's vented dynamic which by design has poorer isolation than most other IEMs...

 
I'd need a 1080p screen to get all of it.

Ie8 doesn't have good isolation.
I'll have to check what Sonny wrote lol

He gave a 3, which is a fair rating...

The IE8 has 3 isolation, it's the second worse to the monoprice which is 2?

EDIT: In the graph i tried to paste in it was not aligned properly and therefore it got the micro phonics rating of 10 in isolation. If you check the link you'll find i gave it 3!
