So I haven't been in here in a while, but I've got UAPP for outputting quality sound when I need it. Otherwise I use GoneMAD because I like it's UI and sound combo. What's Hiby? I check out the GooglePlay description, but of course feedback in here is going to tell me more. Why are you guys using it, what advantages does it have, and why not use UAPP?

On ad side note, does anyone else use GoneMAD here? I've been using it for a while and tested it against Neutron Player a while back. It's got a smooth UI and I like the sound, definitely the best compromise I've used as compared to UAPP for non-intensive listening.

I like Gonemad too, I tend to alternate between that and PowerAMP when not using UAPP.

I'm not sure if or not it does bit perfect but here are the few features that i like in it -

All lossless audio format decoding, including DSF,DFF,ISO,WAV,FLAC,AIFF,M4A,AAC,MP3,OGG

High precision decoding with 32 bits output, 64 bits float point and 128 bits internal calculating. just for the best quality of audio.

External USB DAC is supported with DXD/DoP output. You will get Native DSD or 384KHZ 32 bits audio stream easily.

NAS(LAN) is supported, Net Driver and DLNA will be supported soon.

Moreover it's free

Yes. None of my previous iems have his problem. Said iems are a shure se315 and a sony xba40

Ah. Yeah perhaps your iems are very sensitive then. A good USB dac should solve that then.

Not just the DAC, more like an amp. If the IEM's are very sensitive one needs an amp that has low noise and has a low gain setting (gain switch). Or a DAC/Amp combo that has a low noise amp section and gain switch.

^^^This. It's almost certainly going to be the amp that is going to be the issue, not the DAC. Selectable gain with a low gain setting needed for highly sensitive IEMs.

I tried amping with an oppo ha2 and the hissing is still present. Will a fiio q1 fix this issue? Its at a very good pricepoint but its very new and theres very little information on it.

Tried amping with the HA-2, or used it as DAC and amp via USB audio? If just amping that would have been double-amping, and may have caused issues.

Double amping, which basically amplified the hiss. The soft didnt have an otg cable for some reason so i couldnt try the dac feature. But i tried my im02s with an iPad which didnt have any audible hiss, so i narrowed down my prolem to my gs6's amp or dac.

Try it with another GS6. You can always drop into a store and give it a go.

Weird issue: Dragonfly 1.2 plugged into the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet (Which runs Android 4.4.4) doesn't play at line level volume even when Hi-Res Audio Via USB DAC is selected, I can get line level volume ranges with my FiiO X3 plugged in with OTG without problems but with the Dragonfly I have to use the USB Audio Player Pro app, and I'd prefer to be able to use the Walkman app (I actually find it the best music app I've seen on android) It seems like the hardware volume of the Dragonfly is playing on a lower setting than it should be.

Edit: There seems to be a little work around to get the volume louder and that's to launch the usb audio player app adjust the hardware volume and raise it back to the highest level then close the app and launch Walkman

Can't you just upgrade to Lollipop? My Z2 phone is running  v5.1.1, it should be somehow possible to upgrade your tablet too.
