Okaaay.... I passed snowstorm on my bike, had my hands almost froze, got my headphone and jacket wet to pick up my 6N23P-EV tube....
yet I couldn't hear much difference from the 6922EH ...

This hobby never stops giving/taking.

Personally I usually don't use a backlit keyboard either, but it's nice to have the option. Usually backlit keys burn my eyeballs in the dark, but these LEDs don't seem to do that, which is awesome. My MacBook's white LEDs make me feel nauseous for some reason, so I definitely don't use those.

As a person who works in the dark 80% of the time, keyboard back-lit is an absolute necessity.

Jesus Christ google... just because I bought a laptop from dell doesnt mean you need to plaster dell ads all over ad sense...

I kinda regret bringing MX Blue to a leture. *click click click

Nice. But I would never do that.

It is so much more convenient to bring a MBP than a Mechanical keyboard, tablet, and USB OTG connectors and all the wires that you would then need.

Wow have things changed the last time I posted here.

Now everyone's poi-ing.

Still need 47 lvls till I can marry Kongou :frowning2:

Also, who was the person who got the K7XX? Might I pm whoever you are?

poi poi yes

I think TYG got it and then sold it to Rozenburg kun or something

Wooow...I LOVE this keyboard!

Maximum brightness

Minimum brightness; the LEDs are a yellow-ish green colour, so they don't burn my eyes in the dark even on maximum brightness.

No steel backing beneath the keys, but it makes the keyboard really lightweight.

All it needs are some O-rings, but normal typing is pretty quiet compared to the MX Reds on the Corsair K90, except for the F-row keys since they're a lot larger than normal and are thus noisier.

Thanks @NLNH for helping me through the process!

Niceu, how much did you pay for it?

You can get this it looks like

I have a bag of O rings I don't use. If you want, I can pretty much ship them to you for the $2 and it will get there much faster.

  Holy schiit

This C++ class is so bad

Pfft, not as bad as my current web programming class.
"Okay so we're gonna make a website from scratch"
"Starting with Hello World!"

"Now download wordpress and put it in your website"

What.

I think I'm going to drop this course.

I don't think so, but I'm not 100% certain. I've seen a few reviews for other Cherry keyboards without the backplate. What does the backplate even do anyway?

Ah the HHKB Pro, not just the HHKB. The non-pro one uses membrane keys whereas the Pro uses the proper Topre ones. I thought about it earlier, but for $230 or whatever, that's pretty pricey for a 60% keyboard, which is probably too small for my preferences since I at least like having dedicated arrow keys.

The backplate gives the hard and solid bottoming out feedback. Without it, bottoming out would feel softer. Not sure what else does it do... I've heard that only Cherry's own keyboards could come without backplate, while other manufacturers must add one. Either they changed their rules or my source was wrong :p
If it feels unjustifiable to drop this amount of money on a 60%, what about Realforce keyboards? Hi-Pro is especially fun to type on :D
