Are you male or female, which country?

Didn't mean to offend anyone.  It just stands for "Not in Education, Employment, or Training"

It just means you quit studying to focus on something you find more important, in this example chess.

Male. USA.

Okay, I probably should have used a different word, because I'm not a NEET and I focus a lot on computers, but I have still yet to get somewhere.

F/Z Episode 24 was amusing and very nice to watch.

Yeah, NEET's tend to refer to college/high school dropouts or graduates that are unemployed and not actively seeking a job or employment either.

In the case of my ex classmate playing chess this is not the case. He finished high school, and then decided to become a pro. Meaning playing chess is from now on his job.

That's kind of what I ended up going with after watching Kami-sama no Memo-chou and reading the definition (although the definition just listed what the acronym stood for).
Good for him.

On the topic of jobs, I was watching CNN this morning and (common sense to us nerds) they've decided to go on the obvious topic of "being a nerd pays off". Was pretty interesting to see the stats though on STEM students and what jobs were needed most. Engineers (should be obvious to most of us living in the states) is one of the best paying jobs. I forgot which was at top, but Web Development and some other stuff was on there for engineer. Good because I want to be an engineer.

Really? Engineers get best paid jobs?

As far as I know, the ones who do theoretical studies (e.g. Physics, mathematics) at university tend to get higher paid jobs than the engineers. Mainly because the ones who do difficult theoretical studies are wanted in the financial world despite lack of specific knowledge, and can often get very high in the corporate ladder if they want to go for it.
Engineers have the tendency to get a good pay directly out of college, but have more difficulty climbing the corporate ladder later.

Well those do, but not many are interested in that at the... "age of descision making" so that's probably why :/

Ah well.

I was pondering for some time a year ago whether I wanted to get a major in some form of engineering (either mechanical or electrical), or whether I'd pursue physics or mathematics. Simply because I love mathematics and am really interested in it, I chose the latter, but it could have gone either way.
The fact that mathematicians tend to get good jobs is just a big plus, but not the actual reason I chose to study mathematics (and physics, lol).

I wouldn't know.
I watched books 1 and 2 dubbed in Dutch, and I only started watching it in English with Book 3.

Aww. Mako's original voice is so much better.

In any case, I just finished watching Korra and I realize that Haiby was probably talking about Zuko's voice actor anyways. DANTE!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!

Also I really need a new computer. Mine shut down like 3 times during the episode.
