I just woke up after we caught the last train back to our hotel last night. We've had an incredible couple of days and I have a heap of pictures I need to sort out. I met some amazing people, both Head-Fi members and industry people and got to try some awesome gear.

Special thanks to Sasaki, Mike (mkubota1) and Arnaud for organising and navigating us. I thought at first it was only going to be 5 of us, but it ended up being far more.

I'll post up a heap of stuff once I'm back home.

Looking forward to impressions - especially on the Fostex new flagship and the LCD3 vs SR-009. Subscribed and many thanks.

I mainly went around with my Magnums around my neck and plugged them into many of the rigs for a listen. With many of the headphones I felt I wanted to hear them on my own rig or a couple of reference rigs. IEMs were the exception as I had my iPhone 4 and Pico Slim with me. I'm on my iPad in a cafe eating lunch so i won't write much more for now. I am eager to tell you guys about some of the people I met and gear I tried though.

Thanks CurraWong, looking forward to your impressions on the LCD3 as you are also an owner of SR009.

I will only say that after listening to them on a variety of gear that they sound more "right" to me than the LCD-2s. I didn't feel at all like any instruments were too forward or too recessed as I have at times with the LCD-2 revisions (though I am used to the basic "house sound" now).  One highlight was trying them on the Yoshino EAR-4 with vinyl as a source while talking to Mrs Yoshino -- Tim Paravicini's wife. With the ALO CLAS/RX balanced rig sounded totally like a high-end desktop rig as well and not a portable one.  The irony was, directly opposite the ALO table was the Stax table.
