Well with that price youre offering i'll buy the 940s from you if I can make up my mind. I wish you could send them to me for free(Id pay for shipping) I'd try them for a week and if I didn't like them I'd send them back(Again i'd pay for shipping). If I damaged them in any way, then id pay for them regardless whether I like them or not. If I do like them then i'd just pay the 200 through paypal if you have one. Would that be possible? If not, I completely understand.

Heya,

If they don't sell in the next few days, I'll see what we can work out.

Again, I'll just make it clear, these have a lot lighter bass than the M50. Lots lighter. These are not even neutral, honestly, they're a little shy on the bass from neutral. So it won't sound right, at least to me, for some genres you mentioned (hiphop, rock, etc). It's great for classical, acoustic, female vocals and jazz. But it's not so great (at least to me) for other genres that require more bass. So if that sounds like the kind of headphone you're after, then by all means, give it a shot. If you want a headphone that is closer to neutral, you likely should look at something else. The SRH840 comes to mind, the Fischer Audio FA-003 comes to mind.

Very best,

Alright sounds good. Message me if you wanna work something out, I'd greatly appreciate it. If they don't sound right for me then i'll look into the 840s and FA-003s. Thanks so much man.

Hmm....I'm looking at the FA-003s and all I see are great things about it, the only negative being issues with putting the velour pads on. I still want to try the 940s really badly but those FA headphones are starting to peak my interest, despite the Y-cord and its length and the size of them. The 840s I don't know they felt good on my head but not great. Still hate the protruding wires. If the 940s aren't the ones(I have a feeling they might be too bright but we'll see) then I'm definitely looking into the FA-003s (840s if they prove their sound quality to be more towards my preferences than the M50s were).

You can't really go wrong with the FA-003. They are excellent dynamic headphones for the money.

Alright so I might be able to try out the 940s after all. But in case I don't end up liking them I want to ask comparisons between the 840s and the FA-003s.

Comparison in:

Size/Comfort

Sound Quality/Sonic Signature

Portability(if any)

Power needed to drive

Durability

Preferences: Mids/Vocals to be focus and clear while bass is prominent but not overpowering. Non fatiguing or sibilant highs as well.

Source: iPod Touch 4G, EQu app or just normal built in apple MP3 player. Songs mostly 320kbps but some are also 256-192kbps.

Genres: A little bit of everything really. Maybe indie or jazz are least common but really if it can do everything well then great.(I AM NOT A BASSHEAD I do not prefer alot of bass for even    rap, hiphop, electronic, etc.)

Things to Note: I have ONLY HELD the 840s in my hand and they fine ok its just that I don't like the wires protruding out of the headband or when I fold them out they pinched my finger a little.

The FA-003s I have never touched so I have no idea what they are like in person but 3 things bothered me. 1) They look pretty big, especially the earcups themselves. 2) They use a double cable(could get in the way)   3) Cable is 3 meters long I heard.

I'd really like to hear what you guys think about these two headphones. Thank You

Alright so I'm focusing on the FA-003s now and might just get them instead. IF there is a store even a little bit of a distance from me that has the 940s to demo them I will definitely try to go there. Those FA-003s are looking great. But if i'm disappointed by them then I'm basically screwed and won't be able to buy another headphone for a few years. I REALLY HOPE THEY LIVE UP TO THEIR REPUTATION!

Again look at this list and see whether the FA-003s fit these properties:

Size/Comfort

Sound Quality/Sonic Signature

Portability(if any)

Power needed to drive

Durability

Preferences: Mids/Vocals to be focus and clear while bass is prominent but not overpowering. Non fatiguing or sibilant highs as well.
