Well geez, nong shin or sapporo ichiban now lol!

I have tried two kinds of Nong Shin that were good, but I like Sapporo Ichiban much better for simpler-style ramen.

I like the Nong Shim Gourmet Spicy but right now my FOTM is Nong Shim Kimchi Flavor. Throw in a couple of slices of spam and a fried egg and your in heaven.

So I guess I could have the sapporo ichiban as a replacement for when I finish my kung-fu. The nong shim's shin ramyun could fit as a spicy flavor and the seaweed one as a replacement for when I finish my nissin!

I strongly recommend the packaged ones. They have same versions in bowls too but packaged ones are way superior in taste IMHO.

I like the new type they have at costco, I have no idea what it's called.

When I read your post at first, I went, eeeewwwwwww.

And then I went, "Hey, why not?"

I used to break them up in little pieces by punching the bag and put the sauce powder on top and eat them for snacks.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. It's called Sriracha Hot chili Sauce. Indeed, it's a very nice companion to ramen soup.

I remember in junior high, people used to eat dry ramen. I thought it was revolting.

I keep a supply of Sapporo Ichiban around and I generally throw out the spice package (too much salt). Instead I cook it in water mixed with Tamari soy sauce, a touch of sea salt, dried seaweed flakes, cayenne pepper, a bit of sesame oil, cracked black pepper and lots of fresh minced garlic. When it's nice and hot I add two eggs to give it some substance. Good cheap meal.

Just had a pack of Maruchan, Roast Beef flavor this morning. Not too bad, though much saltier than the regular Beef flavor.

I eat the chicken one every morning on work days. I much prefer the beef flavor but everywhere I go seems to carry the chicken one only.
