Sennheiser HD650 Impressions Thread - Page 627

it's $50 off 500 actually..... I dunno I saw the 650 was 430 when I looked tonight. Brings it down to 380. Then $50 gift card brings it down to $330.... seems like a pretty good deal to me...

Anyway it is there if someone needs it. Have gotten a few PM's but I want to give it to someone who is ready to make an actual order. I want to help someone out to get some gear.

edit: and yes of course you need to hit 500 to get it so throw in a sweater for grandma or something for $70..... biggrin.gif

^ code has been claimed. I sent it to member "spiderman" to order the hd650 for $410. Shld bring it down for him to about $365 plus the gift card down to $315 Helluva deal.

Had I known it was 10% off regardless, I would have taken it. The K702 65th Anniversary is eyeing me...

No he has to tack something on the order for 90 more bucks wink.gif. But its almost xmas. That shld be easy.

Hmm, your code was better than mine.  Mine says up to a maximum purchase of $200.  So I assume that the most I can save is $20.

Well it is back up for grabs guys. Spiderman ended up chatting with amazon and they manually applied the discount for him without asking for the code. Thats a win win.

Same conditions apply. I wanna see the order confirmation to make sure i am helping someone get some gear. biggrin.gif

Edit: claimed

Now to off load my HD595's :D

Should I get an amp first and use it through uDAC2-HP (headphone out only), or toss the uDAC2-HP, get a new DAC (like the hifidiyme sabre) and then take my time with finding an amp?

WWYD?

So excited, I hope this is the end all pair for me.

Udac2 will liven up the sound a bit, but it has a noticeable uppermid coloration. Some will like it some not

I think nowadays, you better with Fiio E10/E17

Just Picked up a Second Pair of HD650's for use on the Computer, Really amazed at how well my Asus Sound card powers them, It will do 600Omh's But their too loud even at 25%, Loving my HD650's all over again.

I had my HD-650 less than a week, today I use it to listen to a live music performance that I have listen for years. When I was enjoying the music I suddenly heard mild Nokia phone tone ringing in the background and the strange thing was there is no Nokia phone in the house. I then realized it was from the music track I was listening to, some audience in the live performance phone ringing. I replay the track again and true it was there, I never heard this before that shows how micro detail the HD-650 can really be. I think that is really a cool story :)

I agree xD

I think sometimes the timbre of certain sounds and effects can be so natural sounding that for a moment your brain is confused and thinks the sound must be coming from another place :).
