Yep, I've never listened to a headphone which got me moving as much as these. They've got such a fantastic sense of meter, I guess we call it PRAT and I am constantly playing air bass, drums, keys, horns, guitar and clapping, tapping and stomping away. I find I can only sit down for a few minutes before I'm up on my feet, they just sound best when I'm moving along with the music.

+1

My thoughts exactly; I've been listening to a lot of music with an emphasis on percussion (e.g., Cream) or a pulsing, driving rhythm (e.g., Lorde).  These really are the most engaging phones I've ever listened to, but it's taken some time for me to get there.

I wasn't thrilled with the sound when I first tried them out...

yes, keeping them. Unfortunately. I lobbied for a change but got shot down. I figured that they were doing a complete redesign why not the connectors also?

They could have gotten mad props for mini xlr...

Im a huge fan of the HD650s I still have mine and use them from time to time. I got my HD800s now that I use with my desktop setup now. 650s served me well for around 5 years though and I won't forget them!

Im changing mine new 650 to something else. Since I need closed cans due to my wife wrecking my head. I got offer to swap for Denon 7100 I hope im not going to be disappointed. Has anyone compared 650 to these Denons. I know they getting mixed reviews but that doesn't bother me that much. Would like to hear from someone owning both headphones.
