I flipped on the tele this morning, flipping channels and I landed on USA network airing a re-run of Covert Affairs. I don't know the episode or any of that, but a young gent was rocking some Grado RS-2s around his neck. She asks "What's with the headphones" she asks, he replied, "Grado RS-2's."

Pretty cool eh?

That's basically how it is where I am too.  I'm terrified of wearing proper headphones outside, primarily because I'd automatically have to grow a beard, wear tight jean cut-offs, and purchase some plaid.  Not my style...

HAHAHAHA :)
If I'm not at my computer with my DT770's than I always use my customs.
Sometimes I get a few stares when I'm out and about or using public transit but most people don't care.

Saw a teenager with Grado SR60i's at the movie theater on Friday.  Good to see kids that young using a good headphone.  (I'm 29 going on 30 so I think I can call them kids now =) )

You should have approached him asking if he was a Head-fier!

Well depending on if you have a large amount of facial hair or not.

I've been seeing a good amount of HTX7s.

I saw today a guy carrying K240 M - carrying not wearing (which is quite understandable:)

Yesterday I was riding a bus to pick up my "new" K240M - I was wearing my PXC250 and wondering about sq  when the girl sitting next to me picket out of her bag a pair of foldable Skullcandys. I just couldnt hold evil grin coming on my face

I was randomly perusing through YouTube the other night for music videos and I couldn't help but post this video of a younger Stevie Wonder rocking to "Superstition" with what appears to be white Sennheiser HD-414's... as studio monitors?!  That's pretty awesome!

Hehe. There was this guy in my summer class listening to some Bose headphones (not sure which model), and he was talking to his friend, telling him how "legit" they were. His friend asks him "so are they as good as the Beats?" to which he replies "yeah, they're about the same... same concept" (??)... then his friend listens to them and goes "WOW! It's like having two subwoofers attached to your head!"

The funny thing is, i used to really really like bass in my headphones and music, but it wasn't really until I spent quite a bit of time here, that I realized the difference between bass quality vs. bass quantity and my tastes started shifting towards this mid-oriented zone or possibly closer to a more neutral zone. Now when I go and try out other headphones with really uncontrolled, bloated bass, it's almost unbearable to listen to. Oh how awareness changes your tastes.. Whether that's a good thing or not, who knows? It's quite possible that "ignorance is bliss." Maybe if I never came here, I could've been happy with a set of skullcandies.
