I've heard all of them I like the LCD3 best for doing audio engineering, for mixing, I find it the most neutral and have enough bass, mids and trebles.

Schiit Lyr with 6BZ7 tubes vs violectric HPA V200 which is better for driving the Audeze LCD-3?  

I feel JH 11 pro works very well with the schiit Lyr, really boost up the bass. Anyone else has that set up?

If I want a tube for my lyr that is quiet, really strong bass and some sparkle in the trebles.What would be the best tube to use? Mullard CV2492 / E88CC ?? Gold Lion? Or are there anything better?   Thanks Matthew

Hi In your opinion what is the best portable amp in the world for JH 11 pro. Maybe something with strong bass but do not comprimise the mids and trebles also.   Thanks Matthew

Use ipod touch , download the Ultimate ears app that can check sound level. and place the Iem/headphone at the mic of the ipod when I do that my source is from my phone but that's just to check the kind of level I listen to and yes it's 90DB around there   Quote:

Hello I'm planning to get a pair of headphones for mixing , u know audio production kind of thing.   I've heard the sennheiser HD 800 through either phonitor or rudistor RP 8 amp I can't remember, soundstage is really big, but I find it lack of bass and really bright, not my kind of sound...

1 more thing The Lyr after a few hours of listening ,it's very hot, including the vol knob so it's not very nice to turn the vol knob after that. I wish schiit audio has some other ways to dissipate the heat, or is there anything I can do to do that?
