Some RS-1 phones came up for sale but I don't have the ability to try them out before I buy. I am just curious if the RS-1 will have more or less low end than my 325i headphoones? I know the RS-1i is supposed to have a beefier low end but how would the RS-1 compare?

Is there any benefit to a DAC if your source does not have a digital output. For example I understand that an iPod has a built in DAC, so what does having another external DAC do if the signal has already been converted to analog before it get to the DAC?
